The works to refurbish the two storey modern building on the outskirts of Milton Keynes city centre took around 12 months from start to finish. The office block houses 180 staff and WorkBox were tasked with the Cat B works including all elements of interior design to full on site project management.
Our team oversaw the installation of a new state-of-the-art compound incorporating chilled water housing and condensers for air conditioning units. The project also included internal frameless glass partitioning, full height doors, suspended ceilings over two floors and LED lighting. New electrical and lighting boards and floor box installations were also in our remit as well as new furniture throughout for staff and a lift connecting both floors.
We also installed a new bistro kitchen which provides 40 covers at a time as well as a new cashless vending system. WorkBox also sourced bespoke Corian sink troughs whilst installing new male and female toilets on both floors as well as modern shower rooms.
Other bespoke items included the reception desk and full height glass offering a viewpoint into the Data Centre, which incorporated an external steel and glass cantilever canopy over the reception area.
