Established in 2012, WorkBox UK is one of the country’s leading commercial fit out and refurbishment companies with a comprehensive team, offering turnkey project delivery for commercial premises. Our services include in house architectural and interior design, build, fit out, refurbishment and furniture. WorkBox manages every aspect of complex projects from developing the initial brief to a fully completed property, with clear and transparent communication throughout from our in-house project management team, providing a seamless partnership with our clients ensuring all projects are carefully planned and carried out from conception to completion.
Our head office is based near Chesterfield giving us a prime central location to support the whole of the UK. Our satellite offices in Sheffield, Birmingham, Nottingham, and London allow us to assist our clients nationally and locally. The WorkBox team are experienced, dynamic, vibrant, and assertive people who will go the extra mile to support our clients in delivering their project needs.
Our process commences with initial exploratory discussions with both new and existing clients, taking ideas and concepts, and turning them into reality. Through our design team we produce 2D and 3D ideas along with visual and virtual mood boards to stimulate thoughts, push the boundaries and ensure we hit the target brief dead centre. From there our in-house quantity surveying team produce detailed quotations capturing the agreed design and meeting client’s budgets. We don’t hide any costs or try and increase the budget with variations, we want our clients to have a robust and transparent quotation that they can depend on. From there the process moves to our project management and build team, they produce a comprehensive programme of works and make sure the project is delivered on time and budget, a cliché phrase used too often in our industry – but we do mean it. It’s no coincidence that 80% of our projects are from repeat customers.

We are proud to hold a number of industry recognised accreditations, including the ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO14001:2005 Environmental Management System. These are benchmarks in the construction industry for the level of commitment a company has to delivering and maintaining a level of service and involves annual assessments of our competence and compliance to a standard of work, especially in providing a high level of Health and Safety. We also hold Constructionline Gold, CHAS, Acclaim and Safe Contractor.
Established on this day in 2010, WorkBox has seen substantial growth and change leading to where our team now consists of seventeen people. The biggest change WorkBox UK has experienced in the last twelve years was the joining of forces of the two companies, UK Workspace and WorkBox UK in 2019.
Our two directors had previously worked together many times before merging and by joining forces, enabling WorkBox to offer an enhanced customer experience and greater expertise, creating a highly qualified team with faster response times. This was a very exciting time for both the companies and our customers.
At WorkBox’s helm, Stuart Thacker and Matt Jackson, have been personal friends for a long time and hold similar values and philosophies on doing business. These include delivering excellent projects for our clients, the importance of honesty and integrity, and always bringing a positive attitude to work.
