Fleet Street

WorkBox UK was appointed to carry out a full refurbishment of multiple floors within a central London building on the iconic Fleet Street. The brief? To create high-end, flexible office space for our client to rent out to prospective tenants. Working from the upper levels of this building certainly posed its logistical challenges—from managing access in a densely populated part of the city to coordinating lift and delivery schedules with surgical precision. But the views? Absolutely worth it.

At WorkBox UK, we thrive on ambitious challenges, and this project was no exception. From day one, our team worked tirelessly to bring the client’s vision to life, combining technical expertise with a creative approach.

How We Made It Happen


We began by stripping out all internal finishes, ceilings, partitions, and remaining landlord fixtures to bring the space back to its bare shell. From there, we introduced a complete new layout tailored to meet the demands of modern working environments. Glazed partitions with Crittall-style framing and decorative detailing were installed to define meeting rooms without sacrificing the sense of openness. Acoustic partitions and insulation were added to ensure privacy where needed.

Throughout the space, we laid new flooring to distinguish between zones—classic herringbone in the communal areas and durable carpet tiles in the open-plan office and meeting rooms. Kitchens and WCs were fully refurbished with new cabinetry, splash backs, sanitaryware, and fittings. We also installed new ceilings, feature lighting, and data and electrical systems, carefully coordinated alongside a validated mechanical setup to ensure optimal ventilation and cooling throughout. To complete the transformation, we added acoustic phone booths, fresh joinery, and soft finishes that brought warmth and functionality to every corner of the space.

The Outcome


The final result is a bright, contemporary office environment that makes the most of its incredible location. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and showcase sweeping views across the London skyline—from The Shard to the London Eye—giving every workstation and meeting room an inspiring back drop.The design offers the perfect balance of private and collaborative areas, with breakout zones, phone booths, and open-plan desking allowing flexibility for a wide range of tenants. This space doesn’t just tick the boxes—it raises the bar for what city centre workspaces should look and feel like.
