“We felt Stuart and his team were best suited to deliver our vision based on their technical experience, their ‘Can Do Attitude’ and their competitive pricing.”
Our budding relationship for a leading plant grower flowered when we were commissioned to start work on a new head office.
The exciting venture for our new client Neame Lea in Lincolnshire began over the summer, including the construction of a new mezzanine floor. This incorporated viewing windows to the inside operational area which bridges into a new greenhouse facility, which will become the largest in Europe.
Our design team worked closely with our client on bringing their vision to life. The project included the creation of two floors of office, reception, staff canteen and bistros, display areas and rooms, new toilets on all floors, new staircases, meeting rooms and a glass atrium.
We also installed a bespoke reception desk and supplied and installed new office, canteen, breakout and meeting room furniture. Our fit-out team also provided new full height glass and partition walls complete with full height doors and frames, ironmongery, glazing, floor coverings, windows as well as supplied power and data, suspended and MF ceilings, lighting, showers and decoration.
One key design feature was the installation of a product wall within the display area to allow the client to showcase their company products to prospective customers. We also custom built two steel and glass structure staircases.
Richard Fox, of Neame Lea, said: “WorkBox were engaged for the office fit-out at our state-of-the-art glasshouse facility at Clay Lake in Spalding. We felt Stuart and his team were best suited to deliver our vision based on their technical experience, their ‘Can Do Attitude’ and their competitive pricing.”
“During the build, WorkBox have provided a high level of support throughout and their communication has been faultless. WorkBox have always been quick to offer up practical solutions to the odd hurdle that we’ve come up against,” said Richard. “The final result is simply stunning, the offices offer a great open-plan working environment, private meeting rooms, modern style kitchens, staff break out areas and a well-equipped staff canteen.”
Richard was highly impressed with the installation process and workmanship, adding: “During the project, WorkBox installed a number of high-quality components, often opting for better quality and recognised brands where they could have gone with cheaper inferior components.”
He said: “WorkBox have delivered on their promise, a complete solution from design through to completion and I would have no hesitation in employing their services again for future projects.”
WorkBox director, Stuart Thacker, said: “This was an interesting new project for WorkBox. Our team relished the challenge of incorporating their needs and vision and adding lots of our own exciting new design features. We are looking forward to our growing relationship.”
