Scaling new heights

WorkBox director Matt Jackson has scaled new heights whilst raising over £100,000 for a cancer charity.

Matt Jackson led a team of climbers up and down the fells in the Lake District on the mountain challenge in aid of the Institute of Cancer Research. The Climb of Life 2019 expedition saw the trekkers raise £104,000 on behalf of the ICR.

The charity carries out ground-breaking research to find the treatments for tomorrow and with the eventual goal of defeating cancer. The challenge event is the biggest single day event for the charity.

Matt’s family has been greatly affected by cancer and he has taken part in this event for the last 19 years as a mountain leader to help raise much needed funds in the search for a cure. He is the current president of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

He said: “I am so grateful for the support of our clients, suppliers, friends and family for all of their donations. Raising such a fantastic amount would not be possible without your help.”
